Collect all 34 species into your tank and a hidden page unlocks. It is about one real seal who became world famous for flattening traffic cones. (Barnacle's Market opens earlier, at 20.)
To splice a species you need two things: its genome, unlocked by finishing that species' page, and enough banked DNA to pay for it. You can splice the same species more than once. All 34 species cost 4,140 DNA in total, and reading the entire archive pays 5,175, so finishing everything leaves you room to spare.
